Happy New Year, Mason Families!

Welcome back! We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break. It was wonderful to see our students' smiling faces return to the halls of Mason Elementary, ready for a fresh start and a brand-new year of learning.

As we kick off January, we have several important dates and reminders to ensure a successful second semester for every student.

Important Dates this Month

• January 12th-16th: iReady Mid-Year Testing: This assessment helps us understand your child's growth in Reading and Math. To help them do their best, please ensure they get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time and ready to shine!
• January 20th: STEAM Fair 5:30-7:30: We can’t wait to see the curiosity, creativity, and growth our students display during our annual STEAM Fair. It’s always a highlight of the year to see their innovative projects and scientific discoveries.

Personal Device Policy Reminder

To maintain a focused and safe learning environment, we would like to remind families of our electronics policy, which aligns with state law and GCPS policies. Students are not permitted to have cell phones or other smart devices (including smartwatches) turned on during the school day. Devices must be powered off and kept inside the student's bookbag from the time they arrive through dismissal.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us minimize distractions and maximize instructional time.
