Principal's Message
Dear Mason Families,
The energy inside our halls this past month has been absolutely incredible! Seeing
our students' bright faces back in the building has filled Mason with so much joy and
momentum. August was packed with unforgettable moments, and we are so proud of
how our school community has kicked off the year.
August Highlights
- GCPS TV Spotlight: Our amazing Peer Leaders were featured on GCPS TV for organizing and guiding our "K-Train"! They made sure our newest Kindergarten students felt confident, safe, and supported as they navigated their way to the right buses every afternoon.
- First STEAM Day: Students dived headfirst into hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math activities, sparking creativity across every grade level.
- Curriculum Night: Thank you to all the families who joined us to connect with teachers and set the stage for a collaborative, successful school year.
As we roll into September, we have a fantastic lineup of school and community
events to keep this excitement going!
Mark Your Calendars for September & Beyond
- Fall Picture Days (September 21 & 22): Smile big! Look out for scheduling details from your student's teacher so everyone is photo-ready.
- The LION STOMP Color Run (September 25): Get ready to get colorful! Due to construction at Bunten Road Park, we are bringing all the high-energy fun right here to our very own Mason campus.
- Duluth Fall Festival (September 26): Show your Mason pride out in the community and enjoy a classic local tradition with friends and neighbors.
- PBIS Movie Night (October 2): We are kicking off next month under the stars! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a fun evening that supports our PBIS rewards and helps raise funds for the upcoming Mane Event.

an extraordinary start, and we cannot wait to make even more wonderful memories
together this year!
