Cafeteria Information

All classes have an assigned 30 minute lunch period scheduled in the school cafeteria.  A new class is scheduled to enter the serving lines every 5 minutes.  To facilitate a schedule this precise, it is important that payment and serving be handled as smoothly as possible.  Breakfast is offered between 7:45am and 8:10am.  Breakfast will be extended for late arrival buses.  At the 8:10 bell, all students will leave the cafeteria and move to their classrooms.  Students arriving after 8:10 will take their breakfast to their classrooms.  

Meal Prices: Breakfast is $1.75 per day and lunch is $2.50 per day for students who pay full price. During 2025-2026 school year, households will not be required to pay the reduced price $0.30 for breakfast and the $0.40 for lunch as the Georgia Department of Education is covering these costs.

Pre-payments: Our program is self-supporting, and the financial health of our program depends on parents keeping accounts up to date. We encourage parents to prepay to ensure their child’s account always has funds to cover meals. Most commonly, parents prepay by the week, month, or for the entire year.

Sending Pre-payments: When sending a pre-payment, please provide us with complete information to credit the account properly. If you send a check, write the child’s full name and account number in the memo area of the check. If you send cash, place the cash in a sealed envelope and write the child’s full name, account number, and amount of cash sent on the front of the envelope. If you have more than one child in our school and your payment is to be credited to more than one account, please include the above information for each student.

Special Needs: We are happy to adjust the meals we serve for children who have special medical needs. To accommodate these children, we need a statement from the child’s doctor identifying the medical issue and explaining the adjustments that need to be made.

Free and Reduced-Price Meals: Free and reduced-price meal applications are available at registration and at any time during the school year. You may also apply online by clicking this link. The school system uses a family application for free and reduced price meal benefits, so please be sure that all students in your household are listed on the application. Applications are processed at the Central Office. To check application status click this link. Allow 10 processing days. To expedite application processing, it is very important that you provide all required information on the application. Federal regulations require that we verify the information on a sample of applications. If your application is selected for verification, you will be notified.

Please consider joining your child for lunch in the cafeteria if your child’s school will allow you to. We feel that by having you experience the quality and variety of healthy choices that we offer, you will better appreciate the time-savings and value that school meals offer. 1. Remove any packaging and microwave on high for 45 seconds.
2. Check product temperature. It should be steaming hot all the way through (165°F).
3. If not hot, continue to reheat on HIGH in 30-second intervals until steaming hot (165°F).
4. Remove item from microwave and let sit for one minute before consuming.
5. Consume within 2 hours.

1. Heat oven to 325°F.
2. Wrap your entrée in foil to keep from drying out while heating.
3. Place product on baking sheet and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
4. Check product temperature. It should be steaming hot all the way through (165°F). No cold spots.
5. If not hot, continue to cook in oven, checking every 5 minutes until steaming hot (165°F).
6. Remove item from oven and let sit for 5‐10 minutes before consuming.
7. Consume within 2 hours.
